AI visibility (GEO) report.
How visible PerkUp is inside AI answers — the year-long climb from invisible to a steady top-4.
Quick Summary
- We held #5, but share of voice slipped to 11.03%. That is mostly the tracked pool growing to 23,614 mentions rather than us shrinking, since our own mentions stayed roughly flat at 2,605.
- Reachdesk's traction looks content-driven: they started publishing far more blogs from March 2026, after only 9 posts in all of 2025. Worth watching as we plan our own output.
- GPT-5.6 launched on July 9 and appears to have changed how ChatGPT picks citations, with every platform down a little. Freshness signals matter more now.
- A new negative theme showed up, Learning Curve and Usability Challenges, and Merchloop entered the tracked pool at #7. Average position eased to #4.5 and sentiment held at 60%.

AIClicks: click a cycle to open its report
AIClicks is the current tool (2026). Click any cycle to open its full report — headline metrics, the summary, per-platform visibility, share of voice vs every competitor (with the read on each), what AI says about us, what worked, and the action points. Bars show PerkUp’s share of voice; the latest cycle is open by default.
Each bar = share of voice for that cycle · click to open its report
Share of voice has slipped over the last few cycles: 14.5% → 14.1% → 13.8% → 12.7% → 11.0%. In the latest cycle (Jul 20–Aug 2) we held #5 while the tracked pool grew, so the drop is more about the field expanding than our own mentions falling. GPT-5.6 also changed how ChatGPT cites sources. Click through the cycles above to see each one in full.
Compare periods (MoM / YoY)
Pick any two months to compare — share of voice, visibility, and mentions recompute live. This covers the current AIClicks era (one tool, one scale); a like-for-like monthly year-over-year is not possible because the tracking tool changed mid-year, so YoY is summarized separately below.
Year over year (Jun 2025 → Jun 2026)
A year ago PerkUp was near-invisible (Jun 2025: ~6% share of voice on Perplexity, ~0% on ChatGPT and Gemini, via HubSpot’s AEO Grader). By mid-2026 it is a steady #4 of 11 at ~14% overall share of voice (AIClicks). The two years use different tools and denominators — read it as directional. The real signal: invisible → consistently cited.

AIClicks, Jul 20–Aug 2. PerkUp (highlighted) holds #5 at 11.03%, with Reachdesk just ahead at #4. The top three (SwagUp, Swag.com, Sendoso) lead and all sit near #2 average position, while we are mentioned about as often but later in the answer. Merchloop is new to the tracked pool this cycle at #7.
Before AIClicks: AmIOnAI (Dec 2025 – Apr 2026)
The previous tool, AmIOnAI, tracked an overall brand ranking. On it PerkUp climbed from 12th to 2nd over four months as FAQ-restructured blogs, case studies, and outreach landed — the single clearest sign GEO was working. Most recent cycle first:
| Cycle | Rank | Visibility | Queries won |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apr 13 | #2 | 17/100 | 18/100 |
| Mar 30 | #5 | 16/100 | 14/100 |
| Mar 16 | #7 | 15/100 | 14/100 |
| Mar 2 | #18 | 12/100 | 8/100 |
| Feb 16 | #14 | 12/100 | 9/100 |
| Feb 2 | #10 | 16/100 | 8/100 |
| Jan 19 | #9 | 17/100 | 22/100 |
| Jan 5 | #10 | 16/100 | 15/100 |
| Dec | #12 | 14/100 | 17/100 |
Rank is out of the full tracked pool (405–864 brands depending on the cycle). The Apr 13 peak (#2, highlighted) was PerkUp’s highest ever on AmIOnAI; Perplexity reclassified PerkUp from “Niche” to “Challenger” that cycle. Scores are not comparable to the AIClicks numbers above.
Where it started: HubSpot AEO Grader (2025)
GEO tracking began in mid-2025 on HubSpot’s AEO Grader, scored per platform. This is the origin of everything above — from essentially invisible to real ChatGPT visibility by September, then a two-month freeze that pushed the team to switch tools. Most recent first:
| Period | ChatGPT SoV | Gemini SoV | Perplexity SoV | Note |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Oct–Dec 2025 | 22% | 15% | 28.5% | Frozen for ~2 months - no movement on any platform, which is what prompted the switch to AmIOnAI. |
| Sep 2025 | 22% | 15% | 25–28.5% | Breakthrough: first real ChatGPT visibility (0% to 22%), sentiment up to 78/100. Perplexity strongest. |
| Jul 2025 | 0% | 28.5% | 7% | Gemini began surfacing PerkUp; ChatGPT still showed 0% share of voice. |
| Jun 2025 | 0% | 0% | 6% | Baseline: essentially invisible. No authority signals (pricing, testimonials, FAQs) for AI to cite. |
HubSpot AEO Grader, share of voice by platform. These scores use a different tool and scale than the AmIOnAI/AIClicks numbers above — the direction (invisible → cited) is the real signal, not the absolute values.
What AI says about us
Across the year the qualitative themes AI assistants surface have been remarkably stable. These are the levers: clear the negatives, reinforce the positives.
| Consistent positives | Recurring negatives (to clear) |
|---|---|
| Ease of use; global reach & logistics; end-to-end swag management; automation; HRIS/CRM integrations; ROI reporting; brand legitimacy & reputation (both flipped positive in Jul 2026). | Support responsiveness; international shipping cost on small orders; SMB pricing & transparency; limited customization; homepage & marketing-message clarity (new this cycle); few independent third-party reviews (G2/Capterra). |
In flight against these: a shipping/fulfillment explainer, a pricing-page reformat, a homepage/messaging review (prompted by the new theme this cycle), a G2/TrustRadius review push, and a PerkUp Wikipedia page (Wikipedia is an increasingly cited source for ChatGPT). Reddit seeding feeds the same engine — see the Reddit log.
How to read this
- Mind the tool changes. HubSpot (2025) → AmIOnAI → AIClicks each measure visibility differently. Compare within an era, not across the seams.
- One sentiment number is noisy. An earlier cycle showed 90% positive sentiment, but on far fewer themes — likely a sampling artifact, not a real jump. Read the trend (60% → 70% → 60% → 60%), not any single reading — and note most negative comments come from old G2 reviews.
- Position matters as much as presence. PerkUp is mentioned about as often as the leaders but sits lower in the answer (#4.5). Moving up the answer, not just appearing, is the goal.
- This is the hedge against SEO decline. As organic clicks compress (see the SEO report), AI-answer share of voice is the offsetting bet.
