People Policies.
How we conduct ourselves: ethics, communication norms, and the company's compliance and ESG commitments.
Code of Ethics
Ethical standards
- Conflict of interest: avoid conflicts that could interfere with judgment; disclose any potential conflicts to management immediately.
- Confidentiality: maintain the confidentiality of information entrusted by clients, suppliers, and partners, except when authorized or legally obligated to disclose.
- Protection of assets: protect PerkUp's physical, intellectual, and digital property from loss, damage, misuse, or theft.
- Fair dealing: deal fairly with clients, suppliers, competitors, and employees — no manipulation, concealment, abuse of privileged information, or misrepresentation.
Operational procedures
- Compliance with laws: adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and reporting obligations.
- Data protection: maintain robust security measures in accordance with relevant data-protection laws.
- Health and safety: follow safety guidelines and promptly report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
- Environmental responsibility: operate sustainably and reduce environmental impact.
Reporting & enforcement
Report ethical violations to a supervisor, HR, or the confidential reporting system. Reports are investigated promptly and confidentially, with no retaliation against reporters. Violations may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination. The policy is reviewed annually and amended as needed.
Slack Communication Policy
Purpose: ensure efficient, transparent, and respectful use of Slack across the organization.
General guidelines
- All work-related discussions must occur in public channels — this ensures transparency, fosters collaboration, and aids retrieval. Avoid DMs for work topics that benefit from wider input or future reference.
- Private conversations — personal matters such as benefits and compensation belong in private channels or DMs with the relevant parties (HR, direct supervisors). Respect confidentiality.
Using Slack effectively
- Use channels for group discussions and threads for specific topics to avoid clutter; label channels clearly (e.g.
#proj-X-updates). - Pin important messages and use bookmarks to keep track of key references.
- Use Slack reminders for milestones, meetings, and follow-ups so nothing slips through the cracks.
This policy may change as the organization evolves and as Slack adds features; employees are notified of significant changes.
Compliance & ESG statements
These four statements are company-level commitments, each approved by Thomas Mirmotahari (CEO & President). They are static, board-level policies; expand each for the full text.
