Usage

/sales-prospect-research [company name]

Step 1: Company Research

Attio CRM

Search for existing records — check if they're already in the pipeline, have had prior conversations, or churned previously.

Web Research

Search for: - Company website, size, industry, HQ location - Recent news, funding rounds, acquisitions - LinkedIn company page (employee count, growth signals) - Glassdoor/reviews for culture signals (do they do employee recognition?)

Tech Stack Signals

Look for: - Current HRIS (Workday, BambooHR, Rippling, Gusto, ADP) — determines integration fit - Slack or Microsoft Teams — determines notification integration - SSO provider — determines WorkOS compatibility

Step 2: Contact Research

For the person you're meeting: - Title, tenure, LinkedIn profile - Previous companies (any PerkUp customers?) - Recent LinkedIn posts or activity - Reporting structure if available

Step 3: Fit Analysis

Based on research, assess:

Strong Fit Signals: - 100-5000 employees (sweet spot) - Distributed/remote workforce - Already doing employee recognition or gifting manually - Has an HRIS we integrate with - Growing headcount

Weak Fit Signals: - Very small (<20 employees) - Single office, everyone co-located - Industry with heavy compliance restrictions on gifts
