Reddit strategy.
A GEO-first Reddit program run by a contractor — the model, the cost, and a candid read on results.
Why Reddit at all
Reddit is a GEO play first, a traffic play second. AI engines lean heavily on Reddit, Quora, and YouTube when generating answers, and Reddit threads rank on Google's long-tail. The goal is awareness, credibility, and earned citations — not direct-response.
The contractor model: Herman
Herman F. (Upwork) runs an SEO/AI-optimized Reddit program: targeted thread research with keyword clustering, ~5 posts and ~30 promo comments a month, plus upvotes. He manages 200+ aged accounts (1–10+ years, karma 1–20k) and outsources upvotes at $0.20 each. Accounts were warmed up before promo activity began (October 2025).
Alternatives evaluated: Daniel Kirk (~$1,450/mo, ~20 safe organic comments + the Peekaboo GEO tool, lower volume), MD Noor (~$800/mo, Reddit + Quora volume), and a premium GEO agency at $14K–17K/month — rejected as far over budget for 4–6 posts.
What we've actually learned
- Posts beat comments. Our top 4 posts already moved the needle on AI-answer tools (AmIonAI), more than net-new thread comments did.
- Direct attribution is thin. One closed deal traced to Reddit so far — this is judged on AI citation and SEO, not last-touch.
- Quality over quantity. No spam / no bot behavior; aged real accounts, neutral helpful tone. Salesy posting backfires and gets flagged.
